From there you and enter to win a 16g Nook Tablet for Mother's Day.
Of course then you could go and buy a copy of "<a href="http://www.columbuscoop.org/store/?ref=258">While You Were Out</a>" for it as an added bonus ;). Just saying.
Now off to clean my office so I have a clean place to do more writing...TMHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00446071079911388951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1793049341364156095.post-89778545248554026422012-04-24T21:26:00.000-04:002012-04-24T21:26:12.311-04:00This is very important to me. Reading is something that was important to all 3 of my girls. So far one is passing that love on to her own child. I can not imagine what ours lives would have been like without books.
A woman I am proud to call a friend has given a chunk of her life to helping people learn to read. There is a group (Books for Africa) has donated books (22,000 books!). All we need to do is collect the funds to ship them. The towns have raised some of the money needed.
Now it is our turn.
If each person who reads this would donate would donate $5 it would be an awesome step toward the $16000 needed to ship the books to children that I no would love them as much as mine would.
Please <a href="https://www.peacecorps.gov/index.cfm?shell=donate.contribute.projdetail&projdesc=674-072">donate</a>.
I will also leave the link up on the side so you can come back and donate again later.
Thank you.TMHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00446071079911388951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1793049341364156095.post-53786879400908393042012-04-20T22:00:00.003-04:002012-04-20T22:00:45.678-04:00This is the link to the <a href="http://www.columbuscoop.org/store/?ref=258">Columbus Creative Cooperative</a>. It is a group of Central Ohio writers that get together to help each other with there stories. They also put together anthologies. The more recent is "While You Were Out: Short Stories of Resurrection" All the stories deal with something dying and coming back to life.
I'm telling you about this because one of my stories is in the book. I'm proud of this story and want to share it. I have read the other anthologies and think they are great reads. Click the link and buy yourself one.
The link will remain permanently on the right. Once I read the full book I'll post a more in-depth review and tell you more about the process of getting published.
Right now I just want you to buy the book and tell me what you think. It is available right now for Nook and Kindle. This link will take you to CCC's website where you can buy a book in your preferred format.
Thanks,

(Update: I've picked out my books. Red is to-be read and Purple is finished. The challenge got extended to December. I'm going to try to not duplicate with my book cover challenge.)TMHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00446071079911388951noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1793049341364156095.post-86628237915877465322010-12-09T21:03:00.001-05:002011-04-19T18:34:59.914-04:00*sigh*I have now finished my penultimate quarter of school. This has been such a busy quarter that it feels odd not to have something to procrastinate doing. So I have to find something to do. Friday I will clean my office so that Monday I can start the 72 Hour Novel(la) project.<br />
If you don't know what that is you should check them out <a href="http://72hournovella.blogspot.com/">here</a>. But basically it is exactly what it says. You have 72 hours to write 8,000 words. No problem. I didn't get to do NaNoWriMo because I had a heavy school. But now I am on break and my kids will still be in school. It will be a nice warm up for my Creative Fiction class.<br />
But right now I think I will get a well deserved night sleep. I'll wait till tomorrow to start obsessing about my grades (though one has already been posted - so - yea me!!!<br />
<br />
Peace out folks,<br />
t~TMHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00446071079911388951noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1793049341364156095.post-45507871986796284732010-12-04T19:06:00.001-05:002011-04-19T18:35:54.969-04:00So yes I am trying this againNew blog in a new place. Not for any special reason. I'll mostly just spout off like I do in real life.<br />
<br />
I want to do some book/movie/commercial reviews. I'll be graduating in March so you will hear me document it.<br />
<br />
I'm going to try not to stress this blog so much, no promises of writing every day or only writing when I have something big to say. I'm gonna try to apply that to other areas of my life too. ;)<br />
<br />
I hope you stick around for the ride.TMHhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00446071079911388951noreply@blogger.com0
